How Many Aunties Does it Take to Change a Diaper?

So Clayton needs his diaper changed. But he doesn't like to sit still long enough for this to happen. So these two decide to cooperate. But from the pictures can you tell they are having a little trouble?

Luckily Grandma was there to come to the rescue!

At the school they have a monument with a bell from the original school house in the 1880's. so they have made a nice tribute out of it alumni and for people to donate. Out of the briks from another school building that was recently torn down they have made a path of bricks. And on those bricks are tributes. Here is Grandma standing in front of the bell, and next to Grandpa's brick. Below is Grandpa's brick. And the one beneathe it will be engraved with Granma's name and the caption "Lorina Goodman Merrill, Class of 1951, FFA and Gene's Sweetheart". We love them both so much.

Here's a few pictures we took of the actual fireworks. They lasted for about 30 minutes and the crowd loved them! It was a beautiful show, and they were playing patriotic songs, and people thought it was synchronized. Pretty cool, huh?

What a Great Weekend!

We just got back from a great weekend with our kids and Grandma in St. David. And this happens to be the very first picture taken with my new camera. Yes, the lost camera never reappeared. But now that I have a new one it will show up. This is Clayton, isn't her growing so fast!

Then Tara, she was worn out after having so much fun with her sisters.

Melissa and her friend from Utah were there to share in the festivities,

and of course Jessie and Byron. What a great time we had with all of them there.

It also happened to be the All-School Reunion and Greer got to do the Fireworks. His new favorite hobby.

Random Pictures

Here are some random pictures that I have on my computer. All of these are the people I love. We had such a great summer, and I'm so sad to have it end. But life moves on and very quickly. Now it's on to a new chapter. And I'm back to school also, so I probly won't have time to do a lot of blogging, but I do want to update now and then with Football, Cheerleading, and maybe if some school pictures now and then. The Baby Bobcat pictures was just for fun. Some of Greer's men trapped it in his orchard, and we thought it was cute, and very wild. Unfortunately, when they trapped it, it's spine was broken and they had to put it down. So have fun looking and hope everyone has a great school year.

The LAST First Day of School!

It's hard to believe that this is Shelby's LAST First day of School. It just seems like yesterday she was so excited to start Kindergarten. So this is our year of LAST's. I feel so old admitting that my 5th child is a Senior! Whew! But it is also her LAST Birthday at home. Today is her 17th birthday and that really hits home. The day she was born the nurses were abhorred. Tuesday the 13th was bad luck in Mexico for some reason. But we've proved them wrong. Shelby was a beautiful baby, and she is still beautiful inside and out. We will definitey miss her next year. But for now we'll enjoy this LAST year we have with her. So you may see alot of Shelby's activities on this blog. Happy Birthday Shelby. We love you!

The Adventures of Dorcas and Delilah

This is Dorcas, I introduced you to her a month ago.

This is Delilah, she is a sister to Dorcas.

This is Delilah and Dorcas with their FAVORITE Chew Toys. The kittens. They squeek and squeal really loudly, and they don't even run away.

This is our 72 hours kits, arranged sort of neatly on the bottom of the shelf in the pantry.

This is the 72 hour kit after the door was left open and Dorcas and Delilah decided they needed to sample the 72 hour kits.
This is the 2nd bag of powdered sugar, that Dorcas and Delilah have sampled. The first was strung across the back yard and it looked like it had snowed, and they were foaming at the mouth it tasted to so good.
This is Tara's cat, Princess.
This is Delilah giving her a kiss. She is very patient with them for a minute, then she grabs one by the ears, and lets them know she's had enough attention.
This is Tara's insulin pump. A very exciting invention and we love it! (I'll have to blog about it later.) When Tara goes swimming she disconnects her pump and leaves it on the picnic table.

Bad idea! Dorcas can jump really high! This is Tara's pump after Dorcas gets ahold of it.


As you can tell, Dorcas and Delilah are very busy. As you can probly notice in the pool picture there are no pool toys. There use to be. We also have a few shoes missing their mates. So the moral of this story is. When you come to my house, be sure you leave your shoes on, and your belongings in your car, or you may come away missing something.

Don't you just love Puppies. And just think we have a whole year of this to go! Stay tuned for more adventures with Dorcas and Delilah!
