Sunday, Day 3. . . . .
Today we woke up to rain, which meant HUMIDITY!!!! Instead of swimming to church we decided to hail a taxi. Which wasn't quite as easy as it looks in the movies. But we finally did get ones attention, and were off to the five story beautiful church. It had a small chapel, but is 5 stories with the cultural hall on the 5th floor. I was able to meet several of Melissa's friends. There were many young people from all over. The two young ladies that spoke today were converts, one from Hungary, and one was born in South Korea and adopted by a Jewish family and raised here in New York. They both had interesting stories. We left church and came home to crash for a while. Then Melissa recuperated and we went to Central Park. It was sunny when we left and raining by the time we got off the stoop. We found the fountain that you see in all the movies. Most recently from the movie Enchanted. Where they sing "How Does She Know That You Love Her." I think that's the way it goes. Then we came back all wet and humidified and crashed again. It's been another fun day, and we are looking forward to Day 4. I will have to have a pedicure before the week is over, to save my poor aching feet!
