Day 2.......

Day two started out a little easier since we had a good night's sleep.  We started out early (in my tennis this time) and hurried down to Times Square to try and get tickets to Wicked in the lottery,  but we didn't get them, so off we went to see more of the sights.  The Statue of Liberty was the next stop.  Melissa went to wait in line, and begin our afternoon of lines, when a very nice woman walked by and asked her if she wanted a reserve ticket that she had.  Melissa said sure and said that I was with her, so she gave us two tickets, for free.  She said she gave them to us because she heard Melissa speaking English!  It was great!  So we didn't have to wait in line, we went straight to the ferry.  The statue wasn't as big as I had always thought it might be.  But it was beautiful, and the weather has been great.  From there it was on to Ellis Island.  It was very interesting.  From there back to Battery park and to Ground Zero and the site of the new WTC.  It was neat to see .  It is much larger than what it seemed on TV.   By then our feet were worn out, so it was back to the subway and Melissa's apartment.  She has become quite the city girl.  I'm having such a great time.  Can't wait for tomorrow!
