Day 5. . . .

Whew! It's 11:30 p.m. and we just got back.  It's been a good day, Lot's of fun, and lot's of ups and downs.  Melissa got home early today and so we headed downtown. (I think that was the direction we went.)  We were seeking a place to get a manicure and a pedicure, and we found the best place.  They were very professional and the prices were very good!  When the girls found out we spoke Spanish they were very friendly.  One was from Mexico City and one was from Puebla.  They miss their home's , but can't beat the work here.  From there it was wait for the rain to stop then we hurried to get in line once again to try and get tickets in the lottery for Wicked.  But once again we didn't get drawn.  And of course the play is sold out all week.  So from there with our hopes dashed, we went to try the lottery for another play called "The Heights".  But we didn't get drawn for that one either.  But we did have quite the entertainment standing in line while we were waiting.  There are some very different people here.  :)  From there we decided to go check out the new Musical Mary Poppin's.  We got some of the last seats, and were glad to have them.   By this time Melissa was getting cranky and hungry so we decided to try out the nearest restaurant which just happened to be the Hard Rock Cafe.  It was SOOOOO good.  And it was fun to see all the memorabilia they have there.  A fun atmosphere.  We could have spend more time there, but we had to get back to the show.  And it was well worth it.  Mary Poppin's was very, very good.  I think Melissa is getting tired, and ready to have her life back without having to entertain Mom.  But that's the way it should be.  She is fun to be with and I'm grateful she gave me this chance.
